A node in the Dina network, Dina Aalborg aims at catalyzing the cooperation between research activities in informatics at Aalborg University (AAU) and other Dina nodes.
The cooperation involves selected staff members from the Decision Support Systems Group at the Department of Computer Science, AAU and from the Research Group in Probability and Statistics at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, AAU.
The objective is achieved primarily by allowing senior researchers to work full-scale in agricultural research projects, by participating in research education of junior Dina staff, by arranging cooperation on specific issues, and in general by taking an active share in Dina's efforts.
The research groups are involved in several international research activities including SACSO, the ESF network on Highly Structured Stochastic Systems, and the EU network on spatial and computational statistics.
There is a close contact to HUGIN Expert A/S which develops a commercial decision support system shell based on graphical models.
