November 16th – 17th 2011
Registration Deadline Extended: Friday, November 4th, 2011.
Have you heard that pesticides leaching to the groundwater threaten our drinking water supply? This could have been a headline derived from scientific research but being twisted or misunderstood in the media. The symposium The Science Behind the Headlines will focus on some of the research areas within Environmental Chemistry and Health that have made big headlines within the last three to four years. Invited speakers will talk about how their research has been presented in the press and compare it to the actual science behind the big headlines. The symposium also includes a workshop on how to best present your research to the public, research councils etc.
EnviroSymp 2011 will take place on November 16th and 17th 2011 at the Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet).
EnviroSymp 2011 welcomes all to submit an abstract of their work in the area of Environmental Chemistry and Health, Biology or Toxicology
The main focus will be directed towards PhD and MSc students in Environmental Chemistry, Biology, Ecotoxicology, and other interested disciplines, but we also hope to see many postdocs and supervisors!
We are looking forward to seeing you and having lots of discussions about science and the headlines!
