VENUE

The workshop will be held at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (KVL) in auditorium 1-14, which is in the main building on Bülowsvej 17, Frederiksberg.

To find auditorium 1-14 you should enter through the main entrance from Bülowsvej (number 17), then go straight ahead out the glass doors and across the courtyard, enter the building (again) and go up the stairs to your right immediatly inside the door.

GETTING THERE

From the Airport to the Central Station

If you come from abroad (or from Jutland by air) the first step is to get from the Airport to the city. The easiest and cheapest is to take the train which leaves every 20 minutes from the underground station at terminal 3. Get a ticket ("three-zone ticket", 16.50 DKK) before going down to the platform. The ticket is also valid on busses so you can use it to go on from the central station to either KVL or the CAB INN (see below for directions).

The map below shows the streets between the venue at KVL and the CAB INN hotel as well as some of the streets where the busses stop near KVL. See the descriptions below on how to get around with public transport.

From the Central Station to the CAB INN, Vodroffsvej 55

• Take bus number 11 towards Bellahøj or bus number 13 towards Rødovre Centrum, get off at the corner of Vodroffsvej and Rosenørns Allé (just after crossing the lake), walk south on Vodroffsvej (about 6 minues by bus and 3 minutes walk). At the central station the busses 11 and 13 depart from the "Tivoli" entrance across the road from where all the taxis are (but I suspect there are yellow signs in the station building guiding you to the various bus lines).
• -OR- Take bus number 8 towards Tingbjerg and proceed at above. The bus stop for line 8 at Vodroffsvej / Rosenørns Allé is really on neither of these streets but on Gyldenløvesgade just after crossing the lakes. You need to go across Gyldenløvesgade and you will find yourself at Rosenørns Allé. About 6 minutes by bus and 3 minutes walk.
• -OR- Take any northbound "S" train to Vesterport station and get up from the platform at the opposite end from the station building (or take bus 40 from the central station). Catch bus 29 towards Jyllingevej / Ålekistevej or bus 27E towards Vanløse station, both can be found at the opposite side of the street crossing to your left. Get off at "Danas Plads" at the corner of Danasvej and Vodroffsvej and walk north on Vodroffsvej (about 2 minutes by bus and 5 minutes walk).

From the Central Station to the venue at KVL, Bülowsvej 17

• Take bus number 1 towards Rødovre station, get off at the corner of Bülowsvej and Gammel Kongevej and walk north (about 8 minutes by bus and 4 minutes walk). At the central station bus 1 departs from the "Tivoli" entrance across the road from where all the taxis are (but I suspect there are yellow signs in the station building guiding you to the various bus lines).
• -OR- Walk to "Rådhuspladsen" (5 minutes walk), take Bus number 14 towards Jydeholmen / Ålekistevej, get off at the corner of Bülowsvej and Gammel Kongevej and walk north (about 7 minutes by bus and 4 minutes walk).
• -OR- Take any northbound "S" train to Vesterport station (one stop, 1 minute) and catch either bus 1 or bus 14 and proceed as above.
• -OR- Take any northbound "S" train to Vesterport station and get up from the platform at the opposite end from the station building (or take bus 40 from the central station). Catch bus 29 towards Jyllingevej / Ålekistevej or bus 27E towards Vanløse station, both can be found at the opposite side of the street crossing to your left. Get off at the corner of Thorvaldsensvej and Bülowsvej and walk south (about 4 minutes by bus and 4 minutes walk).

From CAB INN to the Venue at KVL

Walk. It takes about 10 minutes, see the map above. It is probably simplest to walk south on Vodroffsvej, turn right at Danasvej and walk to H.C. Ørstedsvej where you go left and walk on to Amalievej and turn right there.
